As for the life insurance the answer is yes. For the auto the answer is maybe. If the cars are jointly titled then most likely yes as long as both or you remain in the same state. You will have to consult with your agent to find out what the exact company policies are regarding people you can and can't have on your insurance policy.

Can a husband change his life insurance policy from his ex wife to his new wife in the state of OhioIt is stipulated in the dissolution that the ex wife is to remain benificiary any way to change it?

You must keep the life insurance policy that was discussed in the divorce until your ex remarries. But there is nothing to keep you from buying a new policy and making your new wife ITS beneficiary. That has nothing to do with the divorce decree.

If a husband leaves everything to his wife in his will and they get divorced but the will does not change does she still get everything?

No. Generally, in the United States, a legal divorce nullifies any provisions made for a spouse in a will that was written prior to the divorce unless the will specifically states it will remain effective in the case of a divorce.

Can a husband get divorce if wife is not willing to give divorce?

No. Not if you live in the Western World. Your husband cannot force you to remain married to him. This is the twenty first century. Men have no such authority over their wives. He can complicate the divorce proceeding somewhat but he cannot stop it. You husband isn't the source for obtaining a divorce, the state family court system is the source.

Generally, yes. A person must be careful to change the name of the beneficiary on their life insurance after a divorce of death of the named beneficiary. You should consult with the attorney who represented the decedent in the divorce to determine the law in your state and whether the divorce decree extinguished the ex-spouse as the beneficiary.

You got married 2 years back you have a child your husband wants divorce just becoz you have regular fights what is the rule for this?

If you're in the US and he wants a divorce, you can't stop it. The court will not force someone to remain in a marriage that they don't want to be in. And he needs no 'reason' for the divorce other than "I no longer want to be married to this person"

How do you get an unofficial divorce?

There is no such thing as an unofficial divorce. Marriage is a legal status. A legal marriage must be dissolved by a legal divorce. Otherwise, the parties remain married.

Can your husband contest your divorce?

Yes. Either spouse can contest a divorce. A contested divorce is one in which both spouses cannot come to an agreement on all the issues relating to the divorce, or in which one spouse does not want to go through with the divorce. Common issues that spouses cannot agree on include child support and alimony, as well as property division. If these issues cannot be resolved and remain contested, the divorce will proceed to court. It should be noted that the court will not make you stay in a relationship you do not want to be on but your spouse has an equal opportunity to be heard in a court of law.

If you are divorced can your spouse have a life insurance policy on you?

Yes, but not without your signature. If you had life insurance in force on you prior to your divorce and he was the owner and he wishes to continue paying and remain the benficiary then there is nothing you can do. If you have kids together then you both should have life insurance and name each other as beneficiaries for the benefit and welfare of the children until they are no longer minors. 4lfieguild
