No. Although some kinds of lava are hotter than others, no lava is "cold." The lowest temperature lava in the world, the carbonatite lava of Ol Doinyo Lengai, has a temperature of over 900 degrees Fahrenheit.

It doesn't necessarily mean actual lava "freezing".It's more like when the lava cools off.When the lava cools,it turns into an igneous rock which is a rock made of cooled off lava.If the rock freezes,it breaks apart which means the lava is freezing.Got it?Post on my wall so we can chat sometime!

As the lava travels, its heat transfers to what it touches. Crystals start forming, and eventually the lava solidifies as more and more form.
