Can north pole attract to north pole?

Answer:
Yes, the magnetic north pole of the earth attracts the north pole of a magnet. If it wouldn't be for confusing everybody who uses a compass to navigate, it ought to be renamed for consistency.

No! Renaming is absolutely unnecessary. It's all very simple. 'Magnetic North' is a location (or, more accurately, a direction) and has nothing to do with its magetic polarity. Since the north(-seeking) pole of a magnet points to Magnetic North, the magnetic polarity of this location is a south pole. Why do so many people find this confusing? Simple. Bad teaching!
