Can police order you out of your home on a domestic dispute call if no one has been harmed and the arguing ceased before the police arrived? |

Answer
It depends on what state you are in! I live in Virginia and let's say that I am pretty updated on law here.... If two people live together in Virginia there is only two ways to truly, by law, get the other to leave.. by arrest or by emergency protective order issued by a magistrate. Any other situation would allow two people to bust their own doors down if necessary to get back into their homes. These two possibilities would not be allowed if there were no harm to the persons co-habitating or previous threat.
