Can possums have rabies?

In: Dogs
[Edit]

Answer

Yes, they can. Anyone can get rabies, although it is very rare in possums. Possum's body temperatures are to low to harbour rabies. Now, if it is a pet possum and has had its shots...then it should be fine. However, possums are wild animals and should not be kept as pets.
