It Depends on how much you smoke, well i should say that it wont KILL your fetus but it could make you have delivery problems. In depends on how much you smoke in the terms on if you should cut back or completely stop. If you smoked alot the best advice is to quit as soon as you find out! If you keep smoking it only makes it harder on the fetus if and when you choose to quit. Remember though smoking during pregnancy increases ther chance that you baby gets SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) So the sooner you stop the better. Also even after the babys born if its around smoke the chances of sids is even higher.
Short answer No it will not kill the fetus depending on how long and how much you smoke worse case cenerio you'll have to be monitered for fetal stress maybe even causing preterm labor. It is always best to talk to your doctor about your concerns and don't take any online advise before hearing what he has to say because no one here knows your health risks/ problems and he'll have a better idea of what is harmful or better for your baby.
