Can the Stir Crazy popcorn maker make Kettle Corn?

Last week my son asked me if we could make Kettle Corn(after returning from a local festival). To make a long story short.......I found this(below) on the web. Hand down this works, just made some and my son goes, "Oh My God Dad... this is good.". BTW- I used regular veggie oil.

Here's all you need for Kettle Corn goodness:
3 T canola oil
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 - 3/4 cup popcorn

A shake or two of salt is mandatory after the popcorn has popped.
