Can the Tenergy 05 be used by lower level ping pong players?

[Edit]

The new Tenergy 05, according to Butterfly, who has just added it to their line of competition table tennis rubber, calls it their first rubber to feature the new "Spring Sponge" technology. In otherwords, it has a hard feel, yet will hold the ball longer on the racket in order to impart more spin on the ball.

Now, to directly answer your question, which I interpret to mean 'should a lower level player spend the $64.99 per side/$129.98 per racket price tag just for the rubber?' Not unless the price is no object and/or you can handle spin and speed better than most recreation players. Otherwise, it would be better to ask someone else who has it on their racket to let you hit with theirs. Most players will not mind swapping rackets with you in order for you to try it out.

If you like, I have an extra Butterfly catalog I can send to you. It includes more info about Tenergy 05. Just let me know.
