yes and no it would have to be indoors to be grown in the winter.In certain areas of the world, for example Arizona, tomatoes are often grown out of doors in the winter months. It is rare that temperatures get cold enough to kill the plants and the simple act of covering them at night can often all but eliminate the risk of freezing.In other areas, where there a regular occurrence of hard frosts or snow, tomatoes can be grown indoors in green houses. The only real difficulty with indoor growing is pollination, which needs flying insects to accomplish or the rather tedious work of the growers to hand pollinate the flowers in order to set fruit.
