Can you Give an example of when you have exceeded a customers expectations? |
[Edit] |
A smart business person will ALWAYS try to exceed a customer's expectation. Doing so will put you a rank above the competition, and you will gain added business as a result.
Here is an example: My wife is a real estate agent. She recently received a call from a client who was locked out of his home when he came home from a round of golf. She told him to relax on the deck, while she drove 20 minutes to his home to unlock his house for him. He was amazed that she dropped what she was doing to run over to assist him - and his friend couldn't believe his realtor would go to that length for him.
By contrast, a few years ago my dry cleaner lost a shirt. I had been going to this business for several years, dropping off 4 or 5 shirts and a suit or two each week. When I pointed out that a shirt was missing (and the ticket had even been altered to reflect 4 shirts rather than 5), they refused to take any responsibility and said they did not lose the shirt.
That was the last time I dropped off cleaning at that business. For the cost of a $20 shirt they lost $3,000 of business over the past two years.
