Can you baby sit at 9? |

9 is not old enough to have the needed maturity for such an important role.
I would expect a parent to be looking for someone to look after a nine-year-old, not looking for a 9yo to look after their kids.
I am not going to delete the answer above because it is such a good answer but I am gonna say that I did start baby-sitting at 9. Well I only baby-sat for my sis who was 7 at the time. I am 13 now and since I had the expieriance at 9, 10, 11, and 12 being with kids now that I am 13 I am ready to do some "real" baby-sitting. To answer your question don't get discouraged if someone turns you down for a baby-sitting job. If you have any youger siblings try baby-sitting them for a little at a time. If you parents thinks that you are too young try playing with them and helping out at home so your parents see how mature you are. Next I would see if you can help out at the church nursery. If u are still to young don't worry. Try helping out with any kids you see. Eventually by the time you are 11-13 you will have enough expieriance and will be the best baby-sitter ever! ♥♥♥♥
