Can you bypass ignition interlock device?

Ive only looked into this out of pure electronic intrest. and from what i read the system requires you to make a humming noise as you breath into it. This leades me to thinking that it either has a small microphone that picks up on a frequency range (this would be a little low tec and i guess is not the correct setup), or there is a sencor that tracks the input air flow and the highs and lows of the high frequency that the humming noise makes kind of like tracking the waves at a beach. This would out the use of replicating the noise through a speaker and jamming a compressed can into the air port as the input air from the can would not have this high freq pluse though a constant.

This is not to say that the system can not be overcame with a compressed can, exprement would need to be made with something that can simplate the plue. putting a ball type wissle or a one way valve the once like a rubber flap on a blow up mattress.

and from further reading, The system seams to hook into about a handfull of the cars relays. this is a hack blessing in descuise and a pain in that ass to have a consiable hack. Though with the system only locking into the relays and not the engine controle module, depending on what relay its chopping into, its a easy workaround by not allowing the device to drop power to the relay. or simple to rid the system all together by dropping into the ignettion and starter relays.

there are probley many ways around these divices and not all would be going to the drastic end of removing it all together.

what this get me on thinking is these systems are designed to stop drink drivers, though what if you are slighty over the limit and hacked the system and pulled over and proven over the limit, though after inspection no hacking of the system can be found. you could then argure the point and sue the manafucture of the device saying that the system should not allowed you to drive so its not you drunk ass that is at fault. though the faulty system that you are now taking the company to court for.

hmmm no matter how much technology you put at the problem of drunk drivers, technology can not fix stupid. no matter how much you fine people, people will be people, no matter how much jail time you give people, you can not stop them from learning.

Listen i just had an intervention lock device taken of my truck. They are the biggest peicece of crap youll ever have.! GURENTEED! Just on-hook it!. Put it back together when the pepole come out to check it
