Now,NIMH battery changer usually use constant voltage source. The way always cannot charge sufficient NIMH battery fully. Because the charging current of the constant voltage source can change. It detects the characteristic of battery to determine sufficient. But when the NIMH battery is charged sufficient, the characteristic is different. Even the same battery can produces different characteristic when it is new and old time.So it is difficult to charge sufficient battery with constant voltage source. The constant current cource is good way to charge NIMH battery.The charging current of constant current source is constant.So if we know the capacity of battery and charging current,we can calculate the time of charge.We control the time of charge,We can control the total input power.So any battery can be charged sufficient.
