No but if a kid has been taken by the social worker or and you chose the age group of that kid, you can be fairly certain you will receive that child. otherwise they have a selection of random kids and they are all quite ugly.
its simple, all u have to do is click on the phone then hit servicesand when ur sim gos to the phone then click on adoption services. then they bring the kid the next day. and if one of ur other...
Click on the phone, then click on "Services" and then "Adoption Services" then it'll tell you if you are suitable enough to get a kid. The the game will tell you the rest.
On the PC you can make two sims relax on a bed then click on try for a baby. On the ps2 version your sims can not get pregnant. only the pets can. Hope I helped!
