No, even if you purchased some hardware to allow more than one monitor/TV and the ability to switch them I don't believe that the controllers would work that far from the TV set. It's easy to test. Put something on the PS3 that requires an X or O response and go upstairs and see if when you hit the button anything happens to the system. With the new Slim PS3 it might be possible to set up an HDMI Box for two different TV's. I know that the Sony TV remote will work to control the DVD/Blu Ray Disc on PS3, but very little else can be controlled with the TV remote.
