I live in Washington state so this might not be what you're looking for. Anyway, my old roomate failed a random and was fired. He subsequently applied for state unemployment benefits and was quickly denied since he was FIRED. I once claimed benefits here in Washington and they were particularly interested in varifying that I had been LAYED OFF and not fired, or quit, or anything else. Probably the answer you expected though huh.
The reason i am asking this question is, a friend of mine lost his job because of a random drug test and he was allowed unemployment.I have heard it would disqualify you but not in his case.
No, you have got it wrong you don't get unemployment for failing a drug test you get it because you are unemployed
No, unless the company has a policy claiming drug tests are random, and you can provide some sort of evidence that you were discriminated against and it wasn't a 'random' drug-test. Sorry!!
Yes you are considered terminated, you will be able to draw, but they will penalize you so many weeks, usually 4 to 6 before you will be able tostart drawing
Not if you are proven to be impaired on the job. A quanitity test is done to check on how much is in the system.
There is no schedule for random drug testing done. The choice when to do random drug testing at Caterpillar is whenever the company decides to test.
The consequences for missing random drug testing will vary. If random drug testing is administered from an employer and it is missed, it could lead to grounds of dismissal or corrective action.
Random drug testing is better because it does not allow people the opportunity to prepare for the test.
No. Losing your job because you failed a drug test is job loss due to your own actions, and you don't get unemployment.
They may do.
That's why it is a RANDOM drug test. It all depends on the company or whoever is doing the testing. Personally I worked for a company that had a policy but never enforced randoms due to high costs. (small business)
terminattted 18 daays later after drug testss were returrrrned to employer
