Yes, but only if you're a heavy drinker. A few drinks (FEW and far-between) shouldn't hurt.

If you suspect you're pregnant, then you should stop drinking and take a pregnancy test. Then consult with your doctor.

its fine don't overdo it or your baby will get sleepy and could be hard on the liver, but the amount you would have to drink to do that, you should have a babysitter anyway. a study showed that babies dont like milk as much from mothers who drank more than 3 drinks a day. good diet is important for you with a baby. you need energy for her to play and give her the most. your body will feed her first and maybe even burn some of the fat your body stored during pregnancy. but if you really want to go nuts (hopefully safe) pump and feed that to your baby. beer also has a lot of b vitamins and calories.... good for you. make sure to drink plenty of water though.

There is much debate about this topic. Studies show that consuming alcohol while pregnant can lead to birthing complications or fetal complications. Alcohol is a depressant, it can effect hormonal regulation and the developing brain of the fetus, and most often results in premature births. There are some people who would argue that drinking it in moderation cant do any harm. BUT, there is always a risk. My personal recommendation is to not consume any alcoholic beverage while pregnant as it can cause serious complications later on.

Only if you want your baby to drink the alcohol, too. EVERYTHING you eat, drink, smoke, and inject goes to the baby through your breast milk. If you do eat, drink, smoke, and inject anything that does harm to your baby, you could be arrested, charged, go to jail, and lose your baby due to child abuse. ---- It is safe to drink alcohol while breast feeding, but only in moderation. One glass of wine, or one beer, a few times per week, can actually bennifit your health, as well as your childs. All in all its really a moral decision.

Anything ... repeat anything, that the pregnant mother eats, drinks or smokes, is also passed on to the unborn child. This is why it is always best, during pregnancy, that the mother (if a smoker) stops smoking, and/or consuming Alcoholic Beverages until after the baby is born. You'll live without those things and your newborn will be a much healthier infant for it.

If you mean alcohol absolutely! Whatever you drink so will the baby because it passes through the blood stream!

Well think about it, other things the mother eats affects the baby so probably alcohol does too.

Yes. Though a glass of wine is unlikely to cause any concern.

Is it safe to supplement with formula while breast feeding?

Yes you can switch to formula. However, its better to breast feed the baby because breast milk can help in the development in the baby's immune system. Plus the best thing about breast feeding your baby is that it really helps the mother lose a lot of weight after the baby is born. But if you are breast feeding make sure to keep an eye on your baby to decrease a chance of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), the mother's breast may "smother" her baby by accident. while the baby is being fed, if the baby is held too tight to the breast of the mother, she may be covering its nose and the baby may not be able to breath and suffocate.

Why does baby cry at the breast when fed?

If the baby cries whilst feeding it could be the fact the baby's airway is being blocked by your breast. Press on your breast a little to make sure the baby's nose is not being covered by your breast. If you are uptight the baby can sense this too. So make yourself comfortable prior to feeding, and relax at all costs.
