Why sure you can. I would advise that until the swelling and numbness goes down you hold a bowl under your chin to catch the dribbles (wouldn't want to waste any).
Otherwise just use a straw. Hey, a side benefit is you can hold that ice cold can against the effected area to treat the swelling.
