No. Clams are filter feeders that filter out bacteria and algae from the water, including e-coli and fecal bacteria. More than likely they are full of toxins. Also, it is against the law to remove fresh water mussels and clams from the water. It is even against the law to remove empty shells. You must have a permit to do so.
