Best Answer

It's 'cured' not raw. You will want to heat it until it's internal temp reaches the advised temp.

A ham that is "Ready to Cook" means that it is only partially cooked and still needs to be cooked to be eaten. It's not completely raw, but shouldn't be eaten unless cooked further.

Answer 1

Something bad. I've always known that eating raw meat was bad for you. Especially raw ham because pig/ham can cause Heart disease sometimes.

Answer 2

Raw pork-meat is known for having trichinosis and numerous other diseases that the cooking process neutralizes. A person who eats pork-meat raw is subjecting themselves to this type of risk.

Unlike beef and most seafood, pork is too dangerous to be eaten raw, even with proper supervision.

Yes, you can safely eat smoked ham steaks without cooking them. When they were smoked they were cooked in the smoker.

Probably not! It is still uncooked pork and you will take a chance of getting sick. I would cook it first!

Apparently, yes. But it might not taste that good since it tends to be salty.
