Anyone who has become disabled can file for Social Security Disability or Supplemental Security Insurance through the SSA. A person who qualifies for either program usually qualifies for early Medicare and/or Medicaid also. The information pertaining to all SS issues can be obtained on the web site, www.ssa.gov
