I do! I've never had any problems with it. I wouldn't freeze and defrost things multiple times, but I will often defrost something, cook with it and freeze the leftovers. Cooking should destroy any bacteria, and so long as it is cooled and frozen quickly there shouldn't be any issues.

You can freeze it, and it will be colder and a little harder, but not like a rock

Yes but you should thaw them for a little while first. You can leave them out on a paper towel for a little bit or run them under warm water to thaw.
