minor adoptionsI've beent there tried that. Your parents have to agree to the adoption first of all, and they have to legally give up their rights as your legal guardians. It also depends on the reason behind it all and to whom you will be adopted by and if they equiped to do so. Good Luck. You should really take time out to think about why you want to be adopted.

No, you already have parents. They would have to give up their parental rights or have them removed by a court of law. If you're not happy at home, you might try to seek counseling from a guidance counselor or therapist. Or perhaps you could suggest your parents or the whole family seek some help in resolving issues.

In order for you to be adopted your parents have to give up their parental rights to the state. First then are you up for adoption. It's really hard for older kids to be adopted though. There is already about 500.000 children waiting in the US.

I certainly don’t think so, unless you are getting abused by your parents and equally have to get taken away from them.

Having children of your own (of any age) will certainly not exclude you from adopting, whether they are living at home with you or have grown up.

It is possible for someone else to get legal custody over you. You would need a good reason. Good reasons exist. Talk to your school councilor. That person would be the place to start.

The police will most likely judge your motive for leaving home and open a case. But most likely you will loose. I did. And I hate It.

When adopted can you leave your adopted family at 16?

Being adopted dose not make it any different then being with your biological parents. They are your legal guardians so whatever laws apply to non adopted children applies to you. So wherever you are, find out what age you can legally be on your own and then proceed from there. I do believe 16 sounds a bit young to be on your own, but I haven't got a clue. 16 is really young to leave you family, so maybe talk to your parents?
