Answer
Hello,
Its different in every case. You will need to speak to your doctor about this for a more accurate answer. Sorry I couldn't help you but hopefully someone else on here can.
Hi! I had written you a long, and I was hoping, helpful answer and I accidently erased it. ugh! I have dysplasia, have even had some lasered off when I was younger (I'm 31). Dysplasia is not usually a complication for getting pregnant as long as you are seeing a doctor and it is under control. I also have endometriosis. I had surgery for that when I was younger too, but it hasn't worsened. I was on the birth control pill for ten years and from the women I talked too who had been on it that long, some of them had a harder time getting pregnant - it just took longer than a year. I don't know your age or your health , but if that is your major concern, you should be just fine.
I have a 2 and a half yr old girl, and a one and a half year old boy. I feel so blessed. I got tested and so did my husband for abnormalties, there was nothing seriously wrong with either of us (we did like to party and both of us smoked cigarettes but we were generally healthy at that time). We could not afford in vitro, the amount of money they wanted up front was impossible for us to pay. I looked at adoption, but that was almost more expensive. I had been off the pill for 2 and a half yrs and I was tired of seeing the negative signs on the preg. tests.
I felt odd, so I figured why not take a pregnancy test. I had taken so many tests before, i didn't believe the positeve result, so I took like ten more. I had my baby girl early on Christmas Eve. She is healthy and smart.
Figuring it would take us a long time to conceive again I stopped all birth control, and became pregnant with my son a few months later, and part of that time we weren't having sex. My son was born a little early a year and a month later. He is wonderful and healthy too.
After all of this it was discovered I had a rare blood condition that made me at least twice as likely as anyone else to have significant blood clots. My mom survived one in her lung shen she went to the doctor for tightness in her chest. I also discovered people with this condition are at least twice as likely to have miscarriages and stillbirths. Thank God, for everything. I'm serious.
After my experience I found out that there is often no medical reason why certain couples have trouble conceiving. And often, if they adopt, the wife becomes pregnant soon after. I know from chronic pain how interwoven the mind is with the body. not that I was taking the best care of my body back then. But after 2 and a half yrs of trying to conceive i started trying to make peace with it (which often happened with me drinkin and cryin - j/k mostly :) But I bet yoga,or any meditation would be a great thing to do. Anything that relax's your body and forces you to concentrate on something else. I have never heard of anyone having trouble conceiving due to dysplasia, unless it is cancer that needs aggressive treatment. But like I said, I've had it half my life and they just do pap smears more often, and check it out if they are positive. I understand what happens when the thought crosses your mind that there is even the tiniest possibility that you can't have a baby. It's almost like as little girls playing with dolls we assumed it was our right to one day raise our own children. Life is not fair, but it is also full of little miracles, and I think and hope you will have your own:) If you have anymore questions, please ask. I would love to try and help you.I am an expert in any type of drug addiction, and kicking each one, except cigarettes (Arghh! I go back and forth). Much love:)
