Of course. It would depend upon your general health. A Wisdom tooth extraction is normally done under general anesthesia --- the oral surgeon must decide whether or not you're a candidate for "general". If you have, for example, a Mitrial Valve Prolapse, or any other medical problems, then he or she may choose local anesthesia. Not the best of choices --- but you'll survive. Don't worry about it. It's the oral surgeon's problem. Not yours. JIM

∙ 12y agoi once had a patient with full dentures and about 70 years young complain of tooth ache. it took some convincing by him for me to agree to x ray him. lo and behold - a wisdom was cracking.
