Normally NO BUT it would depend on the location. NYC does a complete back ground check and if you had a felony arrest you will not be issued a Master plumbers or a Master Fire Suppression piping contractors license

That would depend on the company. Most would want you to be bonded and the bonding company may or may not be willing. It would depend on what the conviction was for. If it was for theft I would doubt they would. Call a bonding company and ask them what their policy is.
