Answer
Do not EVER give ANYTHING (that is not pet food/treats) to any animal without first talking to a Veterinarian. Just because something is safe for dogs does not mean that it is safe for cats. Tylenol (acetaminophen), advil (ibuprophen), aspirin are all potentially FATAL to cats. Cats livers are not high functioning and cannot properly process MANY things they might ingest (medicine or otherwise). If you are concerned about your cat - TAKE IT TO A VET! Please, please do not attempt to treat it yourself!!
Answer
Cats should NOT be given acetaminophen at all. I is very toxic to them, since their bodies don't have the mechanism to metabolize it. While humans and dogs can eliminate acetaminophen fairly easily, cats will suffer a severe toxicosis if given more than 25 mg/lb. Since their livers cannot eliminate the acetaminophen, even a much smaller dose can kill them, if given repeatedly. Please read a research article on the subject: http://www.addl.purdue.edu/newsletters/1998/spring/acet.shtml
Answer
i read that it would kill your cat!
Answer
It is my understanding that you should never give your pets Tylenol as it can be toxic to them. Plain, coated aspirin was recommended for our dog with arthritis.

Cats Tylenol is extremely toxic and frequently fatal to cats.
Answer
Darvorcet or Pethidine might be used to treat pain in cats and dogs. Then again, make sure the Tablets do not contain any NSAID's like Tylenol (Acetaminophen, Paracetamol) or Aspirin. Not even ibuprofen. Pethidine is an opioid painkiller and used by Vets. Then, you need a prescription for it. If your Pet is in pain please see a Vet, only he can diagnose and help.
Signs of accidental overdose Often the first sign an owner sees is blue mucous membranes. Other symptoms include:
Loss of appetite Drooling Vomiting Depression Dark colored urine Swelling of faces and paws
These drugs can be very toxic to dogs and cats. If your pet accidentally consumes any of these drugs, please call Adobe immediately. In rare cases, your veterinarian may direct you to use one of these drugs. Follow the doctor's directions carefully and report any side effects. NOOOO!!! Here is the web site I got this information from: http://www.adobe-animal.com/health_medications.html I hope it works for you!!
