[Edit] |
[Edit]
A hyperbole is a figure of speech in which statements are exaggerated,
and not meant to be taken litterally.
and not meant to be taken litterally.
Examples
- These books weigh a ton.
- I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse.
- I'm so tired, I could sleep for a year.
- This Wednesday? But that's centuries away! I can't wait that long!
Hyperbole is exaggeration or overstatement of facts. An example is the following:
"I've told you a thousand times to stop exaggerating!!!"
"My mom is so fat, when she walks in front of the tv I miss 2 shows!!!"
