In general they are oppurtunistic feeders that are found in Central America and occassionally in far south North America and extreme north South America. I would not recommend them for the novice keeper as there is very little literature available to the general public (and probably at all). They are all fairly small snakes and appear to be easily maintained, assuming of course that you have the availability to care and maintenance literature.
