Can you go back to 4.0 GPA after you got a B?

Yes and no!!  Now let me explain that answer.  If you keep taking courses and every course you take is an "A," you will not go back to a 4.0 GPA.  You can only get close.  However, if you repeat the course you got a "B" in (and at the same school), and get an "A" the second time, then yes your GPA will go back to a 4.0.  The institution always takes the higher grade when you repeat the same course at the same school, and only that grade is calculated into your GPA.  Now, do you really want to do that?
