A Data Flow Diagram is not limited to problem analysis and by definition shows the flow of data through a system (meaning a manula procedure, software system, mechanical system, a hardware system or any combination of these. To create a DFD for any system, the major things that one has to understand are * Identify Inputs to the system * Outputs required/proposed from the system * Processes involved to get the required output with the specified inputs. * Control logic should never be a part of your DFD (no loops/no conditions)
