Despite many other answers that tell you "No", you are still able to pass a vehicle safety inspection in Missouri.
I have a car which is passed each year with a crack running from top to bottom of the windshield. It only passes because it is not in my field of view. A few places may fail it because they don't know, but the law says it passes.
Straight from the Missouri CSR:

You can not have a crack in your windshield to pass inspection
If the crack in your windshield is not too bad you may want to try a company such as safe light auto where they can fill the minor crack with resign and you won't need to get an entire new windshield. If the crack is too bad then ask them if they can replace your windshield.
It is possible to fix a cracked windshield, depending on the size and depth of the crack. If it is relatively small and shallow, you can use any number of sealers offered at most auto parts store. If the crack is very deep, however, you may just want to replace the windshield, as sometimes crack repairs can fail, causing your windshield to crack even worse.
If the windshield has a tiny crack, some windshield companies can seal the crack but if the windshield has a big crack or is partly shattered, the windshield has to be removed and replaced by a new windshield. Go to a search engine on the internet and type in windshield companies and then type in the name of your city and state. Your search should help you find pro windshield repacers in your local area. Mechanic shops usually never repair windshields, so it has to be a pro windshield company.
It is not possible to mend a crack in class. Once the molecular bond is broken, there is no way to restore it. Most windshield replacement services will come out and replace the windshield on-site.
You can't actually get stopped for having a cracked windshield, but if you do get pulled over for some other moving violation and they see (they ARE a paid, trained witness) the cracked windshield, they will cite you with an additional equipment safety violation.
They have a formula out there that is like a molding that you can inject right into the crack and it will keep it from spreading. The only other thing you can do is buy a windshield.
Driving around in Indiana with a windshield suffering from a small crack is fine. But, if the crack exceeds the size of a credit car the glass must be replaced.
You can get a small chip or crack repaired by an auto glass specialist such as Safelite. A repair is a much better alternative to waiting it out until the small crack becomes larger and you are forced to replace the entire windshield.
Yes
No. A chip can be repaired, but not a crack.
If your windshield crack obscures the driver's vision or line of sight, yes!
