Can you have a wrist replacement after you have had a wrist fusion?

Answer:

Answer

Unfortunately, no. The results of the fusion are what you'll have to live with.

Incorrect. I had a 4 corner fusion, and 2 years later, due to a failure of my remaining wrist joint, had a total wrist replacement (total wrist arthroplasty). I have gained back both motion and strength.

Two different questions--a 4 corner fusion is different than a total fusion. A 4-corner could then have a wrist replacement,,,,a total fusion would be very difficult, and probably not get a good outcome
