An emotional affair with a video game? True, an affair involves at least a temporary replacement of your partner with someone (something?) else, but the difference is in whether you've been betrayed.

If your partner is spending far more time with his video game than with you, you may feel abandoned and less important. But is his love for video games a genuine replacement for his love for you? Has he stopped loving you and started loving video games? Has he betrayed the relationship by ignoring or abandoning his sense of values and morals to play the games? Try and determine whether he's merely lost his sense of priorities or whether he wouldn't mind spending his life with the games instead of you.
