The best thing you can do is buy Canesten Duo from your local chemist. There is a cream and a tablet to clear the infection. Should only take a few days to clear up.
The first thing to do is make sure it is a yeast infection and not something more serious. With that said, there are many things you can do.

Take a probiotic. (check on amazon or at your health food store)

Eat plain low fat yogurt or kefir.

Use Stevia to sweeten your drinks.

Stop consuming sugar and processed foods.

Don't drink soda pop or other sugar drinks

Don't drink alcoholic drinks

Eat green vegetables more often.

Avoid ingredients that end in 'ose' or have 'malt' in them.

Talk to your doctor about taking Nystatin or Fluconozole (generic for diflucan)

Yes, although you should not leave the ice on for long periods of time. Yeast infection generally do not cause significant swelling, so if this occurs you should speak with your doctor as it may not be a yeast infection. If you feel any signs of vaginal infection, it is always smart to consult a doctor or a nurse. Bacterial infections are often mistaken for yeast infections but can only be treated with antibiotics, which you cannot obtain OTC. If you cannot see a doctor and are sure that you have a yeast infection, you may purchase OTC yeast treatments. However, if your symptoms last more than 7 days you should consult a doctor immediately.

It all depends your body, but on average a medusa can take 3-4 months to heal. The swelling depends on how well you care for it after it is initially pierced. If you care for it correctly and clean it regularly, the swelling should go down within a few days.
