i don't know about the non-scholarship part, but if u are in smp you have signed a Contract with the Guard or Reserves, not ROTC. This means if you quit or get kicked out of ROTC you still have an obligation to the army, and from what i understand you will be demoted to privet and will go to basic like everyone else.
How does an rotc e3 make in college?
ROTC cadets typically aren't paid for being ROTC cadets. However, if they drill with a Reserve or National Guard unit, they receive pay equivalent to what an E-5 in that unit would receive.

You can, but will likely have a tough time getting in. Each case will be reviewed individually.
Why was army ROTC founded?
JROTC was invented for high school students to see if there would be a better motivation to join the military, and if the students would want to further into the rotc in college to become officers.

No. "ROTC in high school" is JROTC. If you complete enough JROTC you can enlist as E2 or something. That's the only advantage of JROTC. For Army ROTC you must attend and receive a degree from a 4-year university.
Does unc have an rotc program?
The Chapel Hill campus has Army, Navy, and Air Force ROTC. The Charlotte campus has Army and Air Force ROTC. The Pembroke campus has Army ROTC. Don't know about Greensboro, though.
Are there Coast Guard ROTC programs?
No. There is a single Coast Guard JROTC programme, but no collegiate level ROTC programmes. You can receive a commission in the Coast Guard through Navy ROTC, the United States Coast Guard Academy, or you can apply for a direct commission to the Coast Guard from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
