Yes you can. I was on this steroid for a period of 52 weeks to allay the effects if my weekly chemotherapy. Each treatment I took a low 2mg dose once a day for 3 days post chemo. I didn't notice until well into treatment that I'd gained four stone but didn't appear fat but very butch for want if a better word. I started a personal training prog three weeks after chemo stopped along with a recommended high protein low carb diet and list 3 stone in 4 weeks. My cancer has spread to my brain and exercise has been stopped. I'm on sane steroid but 6mg post surgery and have radiotherapy looming but intend to resume cardiovascular exercise to lose the already accumulating bulk after 2 weeks. It can be lost but takes time, effort and determination. The feel good factor us enough to sell it to me. My cancer is terminal and although it may win in the end I will continue to look after my appearance and general health to give me the best fighting chances I'm happy to email the diet to anyone with the recommended exercise.
