You would lose weight, but mostly muscle and fluid, not fat!! Don't stop eating to lose weight, in the long run it wont work, as your body's metabolism slows down meaning you burn less calories a day, and will need to start eating even less to maintain your weight, no matter lose it! Instead do lots of exercise, as exercise builds muscle, and muscle burns LOTS more calories than fat, meaning you can eat MORE every day just to maintain!!
