Sony Vegas "Movie Studio 8" does not let you mask.
A Easy Solution That Is Free!, is To download "Inkscape" ( free adobe InDesign/Photoshop Cs3 Program) there you can easily create a lightsaber then import it into Sony Vegas. "Sony Vegas Pro 8.0" however will allow masking
Yes you can. Check mask generator video effect. And the mask composition mode. But, if you are talking about cutting out frame by frame, no. If you want to do that, you can download a photo editing software like photoshop or something free like gimp http://gimp.org/ and you can put each frame on that and cut it out frame by frame.NO you can not mask using Sony Vegas movie studio 9 platinum - you can only use the cookie cutter option.
yes
YES ! you can their are tutorials on youtube too
Sorry you cant as far as i know
click the top of the picture in the video channel and drag down , it makes it more and more transparent. A white line will go down.
You Can't mask in the Movie marker Version. You have to have the Pro version. But, you can put it on a photo editing software and cut the frames out frame by frame, but its a PAIN to do. I recommend getting the pro version, because updating is cheaper. But, if you want to cut out frame by frame, a free program you can do use is gimp. But photoshop works so much better, because you can put the video on an cut out frame by frame. If you want gimp, here is a link. http://gimp.org/ It has no virusus, so don't worry. :D Just to let you know this isn't the same person as the first. I use Vegas and there is a masking tool. Just go to your timeline, click the Track FX button ( Looks like a division sign flipped 90 degrees and is the color green). Once you click that, you get a list. Masking tool is there as "Sony Mask Generator." That's all. Hope this helped!
