No! Latex is waterbased, and that doesn't mix with oil based materials. You can't even paint one over the other...
Check out your materials before you start - if you take the right materials and preparations, your work will last much, much longer.
Do you stain over new wood, or over something already stained? New wood is best treated with waterstain first (if you want extra coloring). And in restaining, try to find the same material as it was done with before. If you can't figure out what it is, use a shellac sealer.
The short answer it yes, it will work. However, solid latex stains are designed to penetrate the wood and to show the texture of the wood, while paints are more adhesive and designed to provide a protective thick film that does not necessarily show the texture of the wood any longer once it has dried.
If you do mix the two, it will probably last a little longer than solid stain, but will not be as durable as a regular floor paint.
You should never paint a deck, the paint will peel (unless you live in a very arid climate I guess. The deck may be stained, you can put either oil or latex stain over old oil stain.
By testing it with denatured alcohol. If the paint comes off on a rag soaked with the alcohol, then it is water based, If not, oil.
Yes solid color stain
Paint covers a surface with a protective film, and stain will penetrate through the wood. Stains are generally considered to be lower maintenance than paint, so stain is a better choice for a deck.
Ensure that it is clean and oil-free; remove any mold or mildew using a bleach solution; allow the surface to dry completely prior to applying your acrylic deck paint.

You can try paint remover or paint the desk color over it.
Use the thinner of that paint and hope it doesn't affect the stain. There is no other way.
Don't paint it when your weather is very hot or very windy. The paint will crack or blister. The wind could blow dust or smething else onto the paint. You can stain it any time. I probably wouldn't stain it if the weather forecast says it will rain tomorrow. Whichever method you select, make sure the deck is clean and dust-free.

If the latex or water based has weathered at least 1 year, there really shouldn't be a problem. I question the use of oil based gloss. This sounds like paint instead of stain. Paint just doesn't hold up on a deck no matter how it is applied. It is going to peal even if it were new wood with no previous stain or paint on it. Using oil based stain should be all right since it is going to penetrate the wood. Decks need to be stained at least every 2 years and depending on the location, every year is not unlikely.
There is two options to change your current deck to look like a redwood deck, the professional way which is a more costly option or the "DIY" way which is more labor intensive. Hardware stores like The HomeDepot, Lowes, or Ace Hardware sell a variety of different outdoor wood stains that can be used on your deck. You first have to sand your your current deck until it has reached a smooth and even surface. The stain is then poured into a painting pan and applied with a paint roller, let each coat dry FULLY and reapply coats of the stain until your desired color is reached. Good luck on your at home project!
There are several ways to remove paint from a wood deck: * Use a pressure washer to remove the paint. * You can use a sander to remove the paint. This metod takes a lot of time. However, it is the safest way. * There are chemical paint removers. However, you wll need to be extra careful using them. Their fumes are toxic.
