Possibly.

Reportedly there is some risk of Lyme disease passing across the placenta from pregnant mother to the unborn child.

In men and women who are not pregnant, Lyme disease cannot be passed on. **** Lyme disease CAN be Passed from PERSON to PERSON. My family and I have Lyme disease. That is how we acquired it and unfortunatley passed it through birth to our children.Lyme disease and the co-infections have been found in bodily fluids, including breast milk.

Yes...Lyme can be transmitted in utero...there IS a test available for screening the placenta to be sure that it did not pass...

Breast milk too...can pass the bacteria to the infant...

Co-infections...many can ALSO be passed in utero and possibly via breast milk...

And...although no one is willing to join in any studies...there is a lot of anecdotal evidence with regard to sexual transmission...Many say NO...many say YES...

Bottom line...not enough studies and research has been done on this...so NO ONE has a definitive answer...
