You cant plant anything for six months after using Sodium Chlorate weedkiller. Or at least you can but it wont grow.
Only on nettles
From looking at a chemical analysis of Sodium Chlorate (NaClO3) it would appear that soda crystals would neutralise it. Mix it up in a solution and pour over. Look here for information: http://www.ihcworld.com/royellis/ABCSafe/chemicals/sodium-chlorate.htm Hope this helps Chris
Sodium chlorate is very soluble in water.
NaClO4 has 1+1+4=6 atoms while CuCl has only two (1+1=2)
The reaction is similar to that of Sodium Bicarbonate and Ammonium Carbonate combined: NH4HCO3 <--> NH3 + H2O + CO2 NOTE: All the products are gaseous and transparent. this means the thermal decomposition appears to turn into 'nothing'.
water to sodium chlorate weedkiller
Im pretty sure weedkiller is not safe for dogs regardless of what type it is, afterall it is weedkiller.
Only on nettles
If the vegetables grow normally then the Sodium Chlorate has had no effect on them, so they are safe to eat.

Separate Sodium Chlorate? Its easy! Just like this: Sodium Chlorate Soduim and Chlorate were on the same line, but I hit return twice and separated them.
Sodium hypochlorite is NaClO. Sodium chlorate is NaClO3 and is a stronger oxidizer.
The chemical formula of sodium chlorate is NaClO3.
Sodium Chlorate's formula is NaClO3. Therefore, the elements found in Sodium Chlorate would be Sodium (Na), Chlorine (Cl), and Oxygen (O).
The chemical formula NaClOβ corresponds to sodium chlorate.
Sodium chlorate is an ionic substance, as it consists of a metal (sodium) and non-metallic elements.
It contains the sodium ion Na+ and the chlorate ion ClO3- Since sodium is the positive ion (cation) you name it first, then you name the chlorate ion second because it is the anion (negative ion). so the name of the compound is sodium chlorate.
