Can you plant grass over weeds?

Answer:
It would be best to get rid of the weeds before planting grass seed. Weeds grow faster than grass, so if left in an area where you plan on planting grass, the weeds will usually crowd out the new grass seedlings and it will also rob the soil of nutrients that the seedlings will need to grow.
