Can you put a goldfish in the same tank with a tropical fish? |
[Edit] |
Yes u can mix them if they are not aggressive. You just need to climatize them befor u dump them in. Put them in a fish baggie with some of thier cold water (enough for them to swim around in and breathe) And place it ontop of the tropical water for at least 20mins. We did the same thing at the aquarium where I work and we had no troubles.
Answer
Tropical fish need warm water. Gold fish do not.
Answer
Actually, I keep goldfish in an 86?F tank as feeders for an American Alligator. They live just fine in that high temperature.
So.. if you take into consideration the fact that goldfish are MESSY and can be PUSHY when it comes to food, but you still think they would do okay as a companion for your tropical fish/s, then yes they can live in tropical water.
Answer
no gold fish live in cold water tropical live in heated
