Its not ideal but if you overboard the existing tiles with hardboard or similar to remove the uneven surface you would get caused by the grout joints you should be ok
huh?
yes, but not advisable.
If you will use it inside the house then it's ok, but if you will use it inside the bathroom it is not advisable because wall tiles are slippery when wet. Slippery floroing is not good in the bathroom. It can cause accidents. Simpley put - NO. wall tiles are frequently thinner than flooring tiles and have a surface designed to allow water to stay on the surface. Floor tiles have a degree of grip to prevent slipping. GOOD Trades people will not put these down on floors
The smell from Teravertine tiles in a bathroom is probably not the smell from the tiles, but from the adhesive used. This smell should go away with time. The fact that it is in a small space such as a bathroom may make it take longer to go away. Open a window and run a fan for a few days if possible.
Floor tiles are tiles made for use on a floor. They can be made of ceramic, terra-cotta, linoleum, vinyl and other materials. Ceramic tiles are a type of tile made from hardened materials (like clay). People put ceramic tiles everywhere - around the bathroom, kitchen, pools, etc.

Chances of breaking the tiles are about 99% sure, taking tiles off are very difficult and trying to put them back on again is not easy as the tile cement will still be attached to the old tile and trying to chip the old cement off will result in breaking the tile however if you dont and put the tiles back it will result in a lumpy tiling finish. Doc says: Doc says that if you are trying to replace an existing shower valve without tearing out your tile wall then you should check out versi-shower.com. They sell shower units that mount to your existing tile and covers the area necessary to remove or bypass the old valve. Good product and cheaper than busting up your wall. -Doc
First you have to pull up the old flooring. Once you have the old flooring up you have to put the tile glue on the floor, and place the tile on top of it. Then you have to grout in between each of the tiles. When you get to the edges you will have to cut the tiles to fit.
no the tiles have too smooth of a finish and other tile will not stick to them need to remove old tiles and then lay new
Yes, it is extremely important that you do.
Yes. That will actually stop the weeds from growing through them. I know that when we took off our old office and replaced it with a bathroom, my mother took the dry wall off and put that on the ground and layed bricks to make our patio. it looks like it was done by a perfesional! :)
To tile a bathroom, you must first find the center of the floor or wall. This is where you will lay your first tile. You work out from there. This way you have the cuts where they are less noticeable. Use a trowel to place tile glue on the tiles, put them in place. Use spacers to keep them apart at an equal distance. Use a tile cutter to cut tiles in areas where a whole tile is not needed. Once you are done, remove the spacers and use a trowel to grout between the tiles. Wipe away excess grout with a wet sponge.
