You can receive short term disability benefits after giving birth, provided your coverage began before getting pregnant.

Short term disability pays a benefit for normal delivery: 6 weeks for vaginal delivery, 8 weeks for c-section delivery.

This depends on what State you're in. For example, in California, there is a law called Paid Family Leave (PFL) where unlike the Family and Medical Leave Act which provides unpaid but job protected leaves, the PFL provides compensated leaves. Some states also allow you to take short term disability benefits even during prescribed bed rest.
