Yes. Signing up for or applying for a disability insurance policy is basically the same as asking the insurance company to make you an offer for coverage. Higher income workers sometimes have more than one policy, as any one policy may not replace an adequate amount of income. Each insurer will ask questions about existing policy coverage in order to prevent over insurance.
