The answer above is terrible. DO NOT SMOKE incense that's actually incense as sometimes it contains oils or chemicals that aren't technically for human consumption. If they are smokable incense blends (typically raw herbs mixed together), usually they are just mildly relaxing herbs that are overpriced and over-hyped to try and make them look like a marijuana alternative. Some "marijuana alternative" blends are becoming illegal in many places since a synthetic chemical cannabinoid has been discovered as the main active substance in many of these blends. JWH and CP are two ingredients that often appear in them. These chemicals are in no way regulated, so it's a hit and a miss game, not to mention they don't have to tell you about the chemicals because it's sold as "incense" in the first place. These can give somebody a great time with a strong marijuana-like buzz if it's legal in your area, but keep in mind that this stuff is NOT MARIJUANA. It's also considered potentially dangerous as some have experienced convulsions/seizures from too much of the drug. Studies still need to be done to fully understand the side effects, which is an other reason to steer clear. Hope this helps.

Obviously not all incense are the same and some are more potent than others. The risks that are associated with smoking incense are seizure like symptoms, chest pain, heart attack like symptoms and hallucinations. NOT MANY CASES HAVE REPORTED A PERSON DYING DIRECTLY FOM SMOKING INCENSE. The only documented cases are shown in teens who are frequent with other drugs and combinations of drugs along with smoking incense. The incense high will lasts 10 minutes to 30 minutes, i think it depends on the persons body weight and age ,which are the enities that are also associated with drinking alcohol. Do your own research and see for yourself......using key words like does incense kill....or can incense harm the body....anything with the specified word of your choice that concwerns you the mosts. I just labled a few things i found interesting and factual. At the end of the day its your choice.

If "funky monkey incense" is synthetic THC (Spice) then yes, and you'll feel SIMILAR effects to marijuana, BUT...

Synthetic THC, MDMA, Cocaine and Meth are "chemical one-off"s meaning a chemist looked at the active drug molecules and substituted SOMETHING ELSE for one or more components of the illegal substances. There are literally THOUSANDS of possible formulas, and every one of them is different....and may react differently for you. There's a much wider range of reactions to these synthetic drugs due to this and extreme reactions are more common. (Think back to the 60's Woodstock movie, "Don't eat the brown acid!" It wasn't LSD, it was a "one-off" that had a bad side effect...)

It'll get you 'high' in some ways; some people feel very little difference from THC, some describe hallucinatory effects, some get dizzy easier, etc. AND it varies by strength, formula, individual, and brand. Plus, it does NOT have the other effects that marijuana does. No anti-inflammatory or anti-nausea or any of the benefits real medical-grade marijuana gives.

You WON'T show THC on any drug tests...at least there's that, I suppose
