no you cant, the consistancies and tastes are different, and they are made diffferently and with different things.
I use vegetable oil instead of butter, lard, yoghurt etc. in a lot of recipes and so far the results have been good.
No?Well Actually you can. I never use oil in my cakes always sour cream. If you do not wish to make a scratch cake try looking up the WASC recipe and use any flavor. Happy Caking
