If you switch to the new iPhone 3G how can you give your mom who is another ATT customer your iPhone?
you should go into the store and get a new sim card. you then go onto itunes and choose the "replace existing phone" option from the "current customer" part of the screen. putting a new sim in it automatically will make you resync it, making it eligible to be placed on someone else's account.
I know the the 3g 8GB iPhone is $499.00 to purchase it with out a contract
Yes. But you need to ask your provider to load your two lines onto one SIM card. This depends on the operator. i.e., not all operators provide such SIM cards. If they do, under settings/phone you will have a section called "SIM applications", where you can switch from one line to other. Two li…nes cannot be active at the same time. But you can forward incoming calls of one line to the other. In this case incoming calls coming to both of your lines will reach you, but you will only be able to make calls from your "active" line. What if you already have a plan through ATT with a different phone can you still buy an iPhone and switch plans upon activation?
I think the best thing to do is to buy an iPhone off of eBay or somewhere. This way, you won't have to get a new 2-year contract (unless you want one). All you need to do is add the data plan, and nothing else on your service should change.
i can answer that question... go to craigslist.org.. look under electroincs.. type iphone 3g under search.. they pop up.. no contract needed... and they're unlocked.. .. kinda pricey.. but you may find a sweet deal..
have a check on Ebay, because the new iPhone 3GS has come out, the iPhone 3G is going off now for cheaper and there are so many of them.
There should be a new iPhone out in June or July, because that's around when the other 3 came out and Steve Jobs said iPhone OS 4.0 will be coming out this summer. No one knows what the next iPhone will be called though.
There are two models:\n. \n8 GB - $199 \n16 GB - $299\n. \nAlso, the 16 GB model comes in white or black, whereas the 8 GB model is only ships in black.
First of all their is no 4g iphone yet the only iphone their are is the 2g iphone, 3g iphone, and 3GS iphone. The difference between an 3g iphone and 3GS iphone is that the 3gs is way faster than the 3g. It should be noted, however, that the 3GS does not access the 3G network any faster than th…e 3G model. The 3GS was a major processor upgrade, meaning functions on the phone itself perform much faster. A 4G iPhone is believed to be the next model that will be available, which considering AT&Ts capability, would be far from now. Sprint is the only carrier to date offering 4G service in the US, with Verizon believed to be soon behind it. In addition the 4G IPhone has a 5 megapixel camera (MORE)
The majority of phone companies will usually offer you a 'free' upgrade within the final month of your contract. They do this for two reasons... (1) they keep you as a customer and (2) they tie you into another lengthy term (usually at least 12 months). If you're happy with your phone - you will usu…ally get a much cheaper monthly tariff by keeping it - rather than getting a new phone. Every new 'free' phone you get is paid for - by a higher monthly payment ! I have had the same phone for a few years - when I first got it ( 3 Mobile ) - I was paying £12 a month on an 18-month contract. When I renewed my contract (for 12 months) - they dropped my monthly payment to four pounds just because I decided to keep the phone ! (MORE)
Yes, depending on the network you are signed up to. You need upgrade status to get the new iPhone, again, that also depends on the network you are signed up to.
You can get a "Simplicity Sim" from o2, which says there is no contract, but you can keep your number and phone. It is kind of like a pay monthly deal, except you can choose any phone to put the sim card and you can choose to pay for 1 month or 12 months at a time.
\nfor 8g its now $99..which if u arent a heavy phone user is ok.. and u can get the update for free from i tunes, instead of paying $199 for the 3gs.
eBay for around £420 upto £600 , play.com sell them , carphone warehouse sell them all around the £550 price range. iPhone 3GS 32GB $240 from th UK +$30 in shipping with a 1 year warrenty top of the line model currently choice of black or white http://www.phoneslimited.co.uk/Apple/iPh…one+3G+S+32GB.html (MORE)
4G can get Internet underground much faster than 3G can, and you can e-mail on an underground train. In a simple answer, both describe the speed of your Internet. Thus, 4g is faster than 3g.
no not at all gave my daughter one she really good care of and was fine.
Apple Inc. Has not developed The iPhone 4G or 4Gs. But the iPhone and iPhone 3Gs is available to AT&T a worldwide national cellphone company. to get an iphone 3gs you can either buy it, find one, or win one anywhere in the world
Mainly, the iphone 4 has face-chat enabled over wifi only, and it has a clearer resolution,so it has higher graphic.it also has faster processor,so it doesn't lag that much. it also comes with multitasking and home screen change enabled when you buy it. Hope this helps!
A 4g phone is a lot faster than a 3g and it's a lot clearer.
over course they can but u shouldn't give them a phon like that anyway that's stupid they shouldn't havce a phone anyways
How can you update your iPhone 3g to iPhone 4g. am i possible to buy latest iPhone. if i already have a contract with AT and T?
iPhone 3G and 4(no G) are types of iPhones. If you've been with AT&T for more than a year you can go into an AT&T store an upgrade your plan for two more years and get the iPhone 4 for $200 plus tax.
Yes,but it costs $600 for the upgrade fee..my sugestion is that you just cancel your current iphone contract for $150,and get a iphone 4 for $200 plus the activation fee,and you will have a iphone 4 for $350 instead of $600!
no No, the general idea of Apple upgrading the iPhone, was to make it BETTER. iPhone 4 has a HD Retina screen, can have a facetime call, Gyroscop, apple A4 chip.
well it depends whether you want it to or not. if your carrier... well, carries the iphone than usually you can buy the phone with a fixed three year contract, which will cost a ton to terminate early. (this is ideal if you are planning on staying with whatever carrier you're with IE. rogers, Fido, …at&t, t mobile etcetera...because the phone will cost about a fifth the price ) However you can buy the phone itself contract free, but it will cost ALOT more ($400-$600) right now. (this is better if you fear commitment) So to answer in short YES and NO depending on what suits you. hope that helped. But if youre question was actually can it have a contract? Then yes :P (MORE)
You can update your iPhone 3G to iOS 4.2.1 (the latest the phone can handle) by plugging your phone into your iTunes authorized computer at home and waiting for the device to be recognized. Once it is, you will get a pop up that there is new software available for free. You agree to any terms and co…nditions and then just wait. Good luck! (MORE)
yes, but the headphone jacks are in different places, so it depends on the case
Original Answer by Norfalka2545 Edited by Arianna Lovendino The answer is iPhone 4, because 3G is an advanced cellular network. If it were named "iPhone 4G", people may mistake the device for aniPhone 4G, when it is really an iPhone 3G. Hence, iPhone 4.
No. iPhone 3g has a sd lcd screen. iPhone 4g has the retina display meaning there are so many pixels on the actual screen not even the human retina (eye) can see them all.
It really depends on the kid. If she is extremely responsible than I would get her an iPhone 4S because they are the best iPhone out there and she would appreciate it. Now on the other hand if she is not really responsible than I think you should start her off with a different phone just to see how …she handles it. This all my opinion so you should still decide yourself. Like I said it really depends on the kid. (MORE)
If you are referring to an iTunes account, they can share. They do not need separate accounts.
4g is about 20 gigs-ish plus what a 3g offers. Though 4g itself is actually not in existance. It's still in the making and it's looking as if it could take about 10 more years to completely have true 4g coverage. They refer to it as 4g but it really isn't. And the iPhone4 isn't actually 4g coverage,… it's just referred to AS an iPhone 4, cause it's the fourth edition iPhone. (MORE)
First off I'm assuming you meant iPhone 4, not 4G (common mistake). And to answer your question, no. The iPhone 3G has a much larger sim card than the iPhone 4, but you can just take them to At&t and they will transfer everything to the new card for you. If you already have both phones, I doubt they… will even charge you. (MORE)
If you go to eBay and you can find one that way just type in iPhone without contract some are new and some are used!
No, you can only get 4G service on 4G compatible devices. It is possible that the next iPhone released will be 4G compatible although that is still unknown at this point.
-The iPhone is a 3G phone NOT A 4G. -Despite the '4', both Verizon and AT&T iPhones run on a 3G network. -The iPhone 4 is not a 4G phone, the networks have a 3G conectivity. -None of the iPhones can have 4G conection.
3g networks are an older version, therefore they are slower. 4g networks are more advanced and they are easier to use.
One gram. Or to put it another way, 4g is 33 1/3% more than 3 g.
it is not it just a scam it may be a little beater on the safari but ya.
First of all, there is 2G (or EDGE), 3G, 4G, or 4G LTE. Many people just call 4G LTE 4G because regular 4G seems more like 3.5G. Keeping up? AT&T's 3G network is known as HSPA and their regular 4G network is known as HSPA+. Because the iPhone 4S supports HSPA+ but not LTE, it is a 4G phone, but …not a 4G LTE (real 4G) phone. Luckily all this confusion is over now that the iPhone 5 supports LTE. (MORE)
The Nexus S is a 4G capable phone. This means that it is capable of running on your carriers 4G network. However, it can also fall back and run on the 3g or 2g network as well, so it supports them all!!
No. A 4G phone typically is compatible with 3G networks, especially since 4G networks are not entirely established. 3G however is a lower generation technology that was created prior to the 4G so there just isn't a way to have the technology already in place for the newer.
Yes you can get a iPhone without 4G and still have wifi, I currently have a iPad and I am not connected to my phone network, it works very well but if you don't have wifi around you, you can't go on the Internet or other things involving web, I'm not sure if this is the same for the iPhone, but I'm …assuming it is (MORE)
You don't have to have a 2 year contract. You can use an iPhone 4s as a pay as you go phone. However, if you want to get a discounted price on the iPhone, you'll probably need to sign a contract for a couple of years. Otherwise you'll have to pay full price (about $500, I think) for the phone. The… carrier subsidizes the cost of the phone (either partially or completely) for people who sign contracts and makes it up over the course of the contract. (MORE)
They should deff get a 3gs because it has a more clearer screen and it is easier to learn how to use it. I don't think that they need all that the 4 or 4s has... All they would need is a 3gs!! Trust me on this one people over 45 don't need more then a 3gs... Yes, the 4s and 4 has Siri but that is th…e only difference in all of them... Trust me, I got the 3gs and upgraded to a 4s and hate my 4s!! I loved my 3gs better then my 4s that I have now!! (MORE)
When you not connected to wifi it will use data(aka 3G) if you don't want to use data go to settings general network cellular data- if this is on your phone will search for wifi when your not connected to one therefore using your data. just shut it off and you will save yourself a lot of data. but i…f you forget thst you shut your cellular data off and go into safari a box will pop up and ask you if you would like to turn cellular data on. (kind of like when you put your phone on airplane mode and go to send a text or make a phone call) (MORE)
You can't. The radio chips inside determine which version of iphone you have. It is impossible to change out the chips yourself.
